Vivid Girl Savanna Samson won the award for Best Erotic Actress in the World at the 2005 Erotic Line Awards in Berlin on Oct. 23. Samson was on hand to accept her award, which came as a surprise, since she was already in Berlin with Vivid Girl Lexie Marie for a signing appearance at the Venus Expo. Vivid director Paul Thomas, who has directed her in several films, presented Samson with her award. A classically trained ballerina who has acted in about 30 adult films since the start of her film career, Samson plays Miss Jones in the just-released The New Devil in Miss Jones remake from Vivid, which has set records for DVD sales. Jenna Jameson plays the Devil in the film. In honoring Samson, Venus judges said: “As a Vivid Girl Savanna Samson is known to fans worldwide. In more than 30 films this fantastic blonde has proved that nothing about sex is foreign to her. And now her star will rise even further with her top role in The New Devil in Miss Jones!"
The new film is directed by Thomas.

Her sex appeal is potent enough to roil off the screen and off the pages of a novel, which is why Savanna Samson plays central roles in both The New Devil in Miss Jones and a new venture, Vamp: A Vivid Girl Book. Jones, co-starring the revered Jenna Jameson, updates the 1972 Gerard Damiano classic of the nearly same name and casts Samson in the title role, alongside the original’s Georgina Spelvin. AVN’s Heidi Pike-Johnson has called it “the perfect film,” and director Paul Thomas is promoting it as the best film he’s ever made. “It’s a universally appealing title with a suspenseful story line and powerful dialog to go along with the amazing sexiness that Jameson and Samson bring to the production,” said Vivid, adding, “Savanna is a talented actress with an irrepressible sensuality that is so right for the Miss Jones role.” The film is being released September 21 in five different languages, and will be the subject of a 32-page supplement to Genesis magazine, hitting newsstands September 27. A press release for the movie describes it as one that “blurs the viewer’s perception of what appears to be hyper-realism with evocative fantasy sequences.” Which coincides well with Vamp, a book about Samson’s own sexual fantasies. The book is told from Samson’s point of view, detailing a Halloween night during which she rules over a nightclub dedicated to pleasures of the flesh - each room offering new and more exotic delights. Vamp kicks off a new line of Vivid Girl books being released by the Thunder Mouth’s Press imprint of Avalon Publishing. It will be joined in September by Day of the Dead, featuring former Vivid contract performer Mercedez. Both Vamp and The New Devil in Miss Jones mark a new echelon of Savanna Samson’s career. Vivid Girl Savanna Samson will be offering advice on shaping up sex lives to readers of Men’s Fitness. The September issue of the magazine will contain Samson’s “Orgasm Insurance Guide,” a two-page spread that features blonde star’s techniques for driving the ladies wild.
Her five suggested positions include The Lip Biter, The Moaner, The Quiverer, The Screamer and The Clincher. “I look at it as if I am performing a tremendous public service,” Samson said in a press release. Samson is also one of the co-authors of How to Have a XXX Sex life: The Ultimate Vivid Guide. The four-time AVN Award winner is also starring as Justine Jones in Vivid’s upcoming The New Devil in Miss Jones.

Savanna Samson created a stir on Saturday evening when she was handcuffed to a Philadelphia police officer while signing autographs at The Mood in Philadelphia. According to an article in the Philadelphia Daily News, Samson was not in custody but was cuffed to the officer, and wearing his police hat, while the pair posed for a Polaroid photo. But duty called, and the officer ran out of the store when his radio sounded police business, the story said. Later, he and three more of Philly's Finest returned to retrieve the Polaroid. The four officers then held Samson in the air and posed for a group photo. "Based on what you're telling me, if that in fact occurred, it would be extremely inappropriate and something we would definitely look into," police spokesman Bill Colarulo told the Daily News. The newspaper said other noteworthy goings-on during the Samson appearance included: Felix Wilkins, who plays flute on the 400 block of South Street, serenaded her with the theme from "Love Story." Samson, who wore a hot-pink satin dress, also mooned a Ride the Ducks boat as it cruised by, according to the report.
